Cookie & Local Storage Policy
Last updated:
This page lists, honestly and specifically, every piece of browser storage Beanoc uses on beanoc.com and app.beanoc.com.
No analytics or advertising cookies
Beanoc does not set any analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies on its own domains. We do not run Google Analytics, PostHog, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracker. Because we only use storage that is strictly necessary for the service to function, we do not display a cookie consent banner — there is nothing non-essential to ask consent for.
Storage items we use
| Name / pattern | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-* | localStorage (strictly necessary) | Supabase authentication session tokens, used to keep you signed in | Until sign-out or token expiry |
| language / locale preference key | localStorage (strictly necessary) | Remembers your preferred display language | Until changed or browser storage is cleared |
We do not set any first-party cookies on beanoc.com or app.beanoc.com beyond what a browser sets automatically for basic HTTP requests.
Stripe-hosted checkout cookies
When you subscribe, you are taken to a Stripe-hosted checkout page. Stripe sets its own cookies on that page (stripe.com / checkout.stripe.com) for fraud prevention and to process your payment. These are controlled entirely by Stripe and are not set on Beanoc's domains. See Stripe's cookie policy for details.
Browser-level controls
Because our storage is limited to sign-in and a language preference, clearing your browser's local storage or cookies for beanoc.com will simply sign you out and reset your language preference — it will not remove any tracking, because none exists. Most browsers let you view and clear site data from Settings → Privacy and security → Site data (naming varies by browser).
Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce optional analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we will update this page and add a consent banner before doing so.
